Today, Hispanics represent one in four 18 to 34 year olds in the US. They have origins in a variety of countries – each with their own unique culture – and are united by a common language. What else unites them?

To find out, we surveyed 1,000 Hispanics ages 13 to 49 and interviewed 42 Hispanics ages 18 to 34 across the US. They told us about what brings them together as a community – the centrality of family life, the evolving role of religion, and the way that traditional foods and Latin music are sources of cultural connection and celebration.

Check out this video to hear from our respondents about how these important cultural elements unify US Hispanics.
